With dual-handed water connections, a range of element sizes, and hard water element options also available, the Thermann Large Electric Storage system suits a variety of household requirements.
Key Features
Australian Made Tanks
Thermann’s large electric storage tanks are proudly Australian made, manufactured using state of the art machinery to ensure consistent quality and durability.
Easy Like-for-Like Replacement
The electric footprint is identical across the range, meaning replacement installations share the same footprint as the existing unit — saving time and money on changeover costs.
Dual-Handed Water Connections
All models feature dual-handed inlet and outlet connections, providing flexibility for installation in a range of configurations.
Range of Element Sizes
Available in 1.8kW, 2.4kW, 3.6kW, and 4.8kW element options with corresponding recovery rates of 31, 41, 62, and 83 litres per hour respectively (at 50°C rise), allowing you to match the unit to your household’s hot water demand.
Single and Twin Element Models
Select models are available with twin elements for faster recovery and a boost capacity, providing more hot water on demand. Single element models offer a straightforward, cost-effective solution for standard usage.
Off-Peak Tariff Compatible
The Thermann Large Electric Storage system is compatible with off-peak electricity tariffs, allowing water to be heated during lower-cost overnight periods to help reduce running costs.
How It Works
When a hot water tap is turned on, hot water is drawn from the top of the tank. Cold water enters through the bottom, and when the temperature around the element drops, the element activates to reheat the water. Hot water naturally rises back to the top of the tank, ready for use.
Important Note: The tank must be filled with water prior to connecting to a power source.
Always use a licensed plumber when installing a hot water system. Not designed for commercial use. For use on a timed recirculation system, tank warranty is 3 years.
