The Peter Cocks 250L Stainless Steel Mains Pressure Wetback Cylinder (left hand configuration) combines full mains pressure hot water with a built-in wetback coil, letting your wood burner help heat your water. Designed and assembled in Christchurch, it’s built to meet New Zealand’s minimum energy performance standards and suit a wide range of water conditions.

A 3kW lower element provides reliable electric heating, while the raised mid-height wetback coil captures heat from your fire to reduce power costs over the colder months.

Key Features

Raised Wetback Coil

A 7.6m thermosiphon wetback coil is positioned mid-cylinder to transfer heat from your wetback-equipped fire into the stored water. Because the coil is indirect, the fire water and your household water never mix. Wetback coil maximum input is 3.5kW.

Solar Direct Ready

Solar inlet and outlet connections allow the cylinder to be connected to a direct solar or hot water heat pump return kit — a future-proof option if you plan to add renewable heating later.

Stainless Steel Mains Pressure

The stainless steel inner cylinder delivers strong, consistent mains pressure hot water to every tap and shower, and suits a wide range of New Zealand water conditions.

Double Element Option

An upper element port is supplied plugged, so a second element and thermostat can be added as an optional extra for faster recovery.

Lightweight & Flexible

Lightweight stainless steel construction makes handling and installation easier, with indoor and outdoor options available.

10-Year Tank Warranty

Backed by a 10-year tank replacement warranty, 3-year tank labour and 1-year parts & labour warranty.

Supplied with a 46kW TPR valve set to 850kPa. Upper element and thermostat sold separately. Coil maximum flow rate 20L/min. Warranty applies to Peter Cocks stainless steel cylinders manufactured after 1 October 2017. Proudly designed and assembled in New Zealand.
