The Rinnai 300L Stainless Steel Mains Pressure Indoor Cylinder (MS30055030) is Rinnai’s premium electric hot water storage solution, ideal for larger families with higher hot water demand. Built from high-grade duplex stainless steel with a 3kW element, it delivers reliable mains pressure hot water with minimal maintenance — backed by a 10-year warranty.

Weighing just 53kg empty, the lightweight stainless steel construction makes transport and installation easier, and with no sacrificial anode to replace, ongoing maintenance is kept to a minimum.

Premium Duplex Stainless Steel Construction

The inner cylinder is made from high-grade duplex stainless steel for excellent durability and corrosion resistance, housed in a galvanised steel outer casing.

No Sacrificial Anode Required

Unlike enamel cylinders, stainless steel models don’t need a sacrificial anode — reducing maintenance and long-term ownership costs.

3kW Element for Faster Recovery

An Incoloy 825 alloy sheathed 3kW element at the base of the tank heats the full 300 litres from 15°C to 60°C in approximately 5 hrs 50 mins (theoretical).

Flexible Installation

Suitable for left or right hand plumbing connections. It can be installed as a low pressure system and later converted to mains pressure without replacing the cylinder.

Second Element Option

The 300L cylinder is also available with an optional second element for quicker recovery times, making it less likely you’ll run out of hot water.

Solar and Heat Pump Ready

The thermostat can be upgraded to an auto-reset type, making the cylinder suitable for connection to open loop solar or hot water heat pump systems.

NZ MEPS Compliant

Insulated with CFC-free polyurethane foam and compliant with the New Zealand Minimum Energy Performance Standard. No cylinder wrap required.

Indoor installation only. Not suitable for bore or tank water. Not suitable as a pool or spa heater. In hard water areas, a thermostat setting of no more than 65°C and a scale reducing device are recommended. Maximum working pressure 850kPa.
