The Thermann 270THMB36 is a high-efficiency heat pump water heater designed for larger New Zealand households. Using R290 natural refrigerant and proven heat pump technology, it extracts heat from the surrounding air to dramatically reduce the energy needed to heat your water — delivering up to 73.1% in energy savings compared to a standard electric storage cylinder, with a Coefficient of Performance (COP) of 4.7.

An electric element backup ensures hot water availability during low ambient temperature conditions or when a boost is needed. An active defrost function also ensures reliable performance in colder climates, with an operating ambient temperature range of -5°C to 43°C.

The copper wraparound condenser offers proven durability and efficient heat transfer, while a UV and flame-resistant polymer top cover protects the unit outdoors. This unit is rated for outdoor installation only.
